NATO is to investigate reports that up to 40 civilians were killed in a Western bombing strike near Tripoli, euronews reports. The alliance took over military operations early this morning and its leader used his first news conference to stress there are very strict rules of engagement. But NATO took over command of Operation Unified Protector at 06.00 this morning, we’re investigating and we will report the details once the investigation is complete. Until now the allies have commended themselves on the precision of their bombing campaign.
