The Serbian parliament observed a minute's silence at the start of its Monday sitting. MPs in this way paid their last tribute to the late head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Pavle. Parliament pays last tribute to patriarch Parliament speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said that the death of the patriarch on Sunday in Belgrade represented an irreplacable loss for Serbia and all of citizens, and informed MPs that the parliament would not meet on Thursday, the day of the funeral. Today, parliament continues its general debate on verifying 25 bills on international contracts and other documents.
