The Russian and Serbian delegations say an agreement will be signed by the year's end for the sale of NIS and the construction of the South Stream pipeline. Gazprom President Alexei Miller said that it had been agreed that a contract would be signed by the end of the year for the sale of NIS to Gazprom. A number of issues concerning NIS are still unanswered, but the agreement will definitely be signed by the end of the year,” Miller said. At the press conference, the Gazprom CEO said that the plan to construct the gas pipeline and the Banatski Dvor underground storage facility had been drafted, and that the only thing left was to define technical issues regarding the sale of NIS. He confirmed that the pipeline running through Serbia would have a capacity of at least 10 billion cubic meters per year.
