Duro I'd rather sell NIS to the company that gives Serbia the best deal.

Is there something wrong with that?

If you support a cut price sale of NIS to the Russians at the expense of Serbian citizens that is your problem. If you read the report on NIS you would know its irrelevant where it is located on the internet, rather I mentioned where it was due to problems with links at this site.

Obviously I have a problem understanding that type of 'patriotism'.

I'd like to say that you have disappointed me with your comments on this, but with your prior form I'm not surprised. You go along with anything that DSS advocates, like the proverbial lemming.

And what bganon? Because its on the front page of the government website its supposed to mean something special? Hmmm and here I used to think you were more critical of our government...

That "report" could easily have been pushed by Dinkic the biggest robber in Serbian history.

NIS really is worth less now with the financial crisis so don't get your panties in a knot, prices change get over it. Who would you rather sell NIS too? The Hungarian MOL or Austrian AMO? for what 2 billion? Ya and then what will they flood the our market with cheaper gas and modernize NIS with their vast deposits? Russia is important because unlike Austria or Hungary it is a major gas and oil producer.

You bganon are begging to sounds a lot like Ceda...how nice for you...

'NIS is worth nothing now. '
'Great deal for Serbia' my foot.

And those comments are based on what exactly? Guesswork?

For anybody who is truly interested in knowing how much NIS is worth take a look at this link at the Serbian government (there is a link on the front page)

NIS is worth over 2 billion euros. As the Russians will purchase half, we can talk about 1.1 billion euros being the price. Now how much have the Russians offered to pay??? I bet some of those who advocate selling NIS to the Russians don't even know the answer.
OK then lets just give NIS away for free shall we?

Lets just hand over the entire country to be slaves of another nation state who wave a small handfull of euros at us!

So much for national dignity! The Serbian people will not be robbed despite the sell outs who advocate it.

Let's sign this thing already! Had Kostunica been in charge this would have been signed long ago, and work would have already begun. This is a great deal for Serbia and for Russia as well. It really is embarrassing that we have a bunch of people in power that are servile to Brussels and Washington and are doing their best to derail this agreement. They are not only trying to drive a wedge between Serbia and our best friend and ally, Russia, but they are seriously trying to damage Serbia's national interests and acting like NATO's lapdogs.
The socialists should threaten to bring down the government if this thing is signed immedeately!!

PRN,
Serbia does a lot of commerce with Moscow, FIAT came to Serbia hoping to sell cars to Russia, it's not as simple as you suggest. If Serbia says now they will pay with trade, if they say yes, they will pay for the rest of their lives on gas prices.

Russia will today is like Serbia during Slobodan, they will break the agreement even after. Notice how the investment turned into a loan. Kosova is done, more EU countries will recognize us in 2009 per Chez minister.

There are indications that Russia is linking NIS deal (totally to Moscow's interest) with Kosovo recognition.

Probably Serbia in return will threaten Russia that Belgrade will recognise Kosovo too BUT afterwards will give NIS to USA.

Interesting times ahead.
