Thousands of supporters of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez celebrated in Caracas the 10th anniversary of his return to power after a failed coup in 2002. Thousands of soldiers marched to the presidential palace chanting "United people will never be defeated!", while many gathered and danced to loud music and songs such as, "Forward Commander! The fatherland is with you". 10 years since failed Venezuela coup Chavez, who on Thursday returned to the country after receiving radiotherapy in Cuba, appeared on the balcony of the palace waving flags and chanting "Long live Venezuela!", and afterwards gave a speech. Dissident generals in 2002 arrested Chavez, claiming that he had resigned, after which a transitional government rejected the country's Constitution and dissolved the Congress and the Supreme Court. But Chavez was triumphantly back in the presidential palace after two days with loyalists in the army supporting him amind protests of tens of thousands of his supporters.
