UEFA suspects match-fixing in Serbian league
B92 has contacted UEFA in order to receive an official confirmation of this, and expects to soon receive a reply.FSS Competition Integrity Commissioner Milivoje Mirkov said that UEFA suspects the game was fixed, and added that the FSS would now undertake measures and investigate, with the help of relevant authorities, and with the aim of collecting the evidence.
The regularity also came under suspicion last fall when these two clubs played their first game in the 2015/16 season. The Subotica side's coach at the time decided to field an entire team of substitutes, saying that he had to "save" his best players for an upcoming game against Red Star (Crvena Zvezda).
OFK Beograd won 2-0, while the FSS investigated and issued Spartak with a four-point deduction. This was later reduced to two points.
