The Armed Forces' Air Defense is in the process of modernizing its P12 radars and part of the key segments of the Kub missile system, the commander of the 250th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Dusko Zarkovic, says in an interview to Odbrana magazine. He further says that members of the 250th Brigade will soon be holding live ammo exercises at Bulgaria's Shabla training grounds, for a third consecutive year, and that this time, it will be the 2nd Artillery Battalion and the 240th Self-Propelled Artillery Battalion that will be taking part. "As high a proportion as 70 percent of the complement of the 2nd Artillery Battalion did not take part in the exercises in Bulgaria in 2010 and 2011, while the 240th Self-Propelled Brigade has not had live ammo exercises since 1989," he says. He goes on to say that for more than 90 percent of the personnel that will be taking part in the exercises in Bulgaria, this will be the first time that they have live ammo exercises. Odbrana
