Milan Stankovic, Serbia's representative at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, has gone through to the competition's final. The final evening will be held May 29 in Oslo, Norway. Serbia through to Eurovision final Stankovic performed his song “This is the Balkans“ written by Goran Bregovic in the first semifinal group. He and nine other countries – Bosnia-Herzegovina, Moldova, Russia, Greece, Portugal, Belarus, Belgium, Albania and Iceland – made it through to the final. Estonia, Slovakia, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Malta and Macedonia did not qualify. The names of those who qualified were randomly read without the ranking in the semifinals, so it is not known how many points national juries and viewers awarded them. 17 countries will compete in the second semifinal group on May 27 and ten will go through to the final. 20 countries from both semifinal groups will compete on May 29, along with the host country, Norway, as well as representatives of the “big four“ – countries which automatically qualify for the final – Britain, France, Germany and Spain.
