The Novi Sad Municipal Court has found Dejan Mikavica guilty of a traffic violation committed last year.

DSS official found guilty of traffic violation

The court stated that the testimony given by Mikavica’s defense witness that he crossed the intersection while the light was green was rejected, as it went against the reports given by eyewitnesses.

The court decided that the insurance company responsible for Mikavica’s state-registered vehicle will have to pay a sum of close to EUR 4,000 damages and about EUR 1,800 for court fees.

Mikavica is the president of the public Transnafta company’s administrative council and chief of the history program at the Novi Sad Philosophy University.
