Marko Milošević denies involvement in smuggling

“I am shocked. Two days already, I cannot believe it. First I thought it was some kind of mistake,” the son of the late Serbian president told the daily Glas Javnosti, adding that he was not even considering making a court appearance.

Milošević said that suspicions that he is involved in criminal activity were “violations of his human rights,” and the rights of his family.

Milošević confirmed that he knew Bojana Bajrušević, who is suspected of participating in the smuggling activity, but denied that he ever met with Stanko Subotić, suspected of being the smuggling group’s ring leader.

“I read that the state suffered several tens of millions of euros worth of damage, and that I and my group earned that much. The money that I earned in any illegal manner, I wish for them to have that money to feed their children with,” Milošević said.

He said that he had been living in Moscow for the last seven years and that he was currently in China, where he “has some business," to tend to.
