A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Montenegro in connection to last week's attack on reporter Olivera Lakić, police in the capital of Podgorica said.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Montenegro in connection to last week's attack on reporter Olivera Lakic, police in the capital of Podgorica said. The suspect was identified as Ivan Boskovic. Man arrested in connection to assault on journalist Lakic, an investigative reporter for the daily Vrijeme, was physically assaulted and injured as she was trying to unlock the door to her apartment in Podgorica. Montenegrin Police Director Bozidar Vuksanovic said on Tuesday in a statement for Vijesti TV that the arrest came as a result of "intensive search". No reason has been given for the suspect's possible motives to attack the journalist. The incident met with condemnation, with calls for the authorities to act swiftly and apprehend the perpetrator. Man arrested in connection to assault on journalist

Lakić, an investigative reporter for the daily Vrijeme, was physically assaulted and injured as she was trying to unlock the door to her apartment in Podgorica.

Montenegrin Police Director Božidar Vuksanović said on Tuesday in a statement for Vijesti TV that the arrest came as a result of "intensive search".

No reason has been given for the suspect's possible motives to attack the journalist.
