The international community should make an offer to Milo Djukanovic to leave the country so that "a change of government" to take place, says Nebojsa Medojevic. The leader of the opposition Movement for Changes told Podgorica daily Vijesti that Djukanovic - former Montenegrin president and prime minister, now leader of the ruling DPS party - has few friends in international centers, and will therefore "find it increasingly difficult to hold on to power". "Djukanovic refused to move to Costa Rica" Medojevic also claimed that recently, "an influential country" offered Djukanovic to move to Costa Rica, in Central America. "He refused, making fun of that county. I think he is finding himself in a different situation now, and that he and his family should be offered to leave in order to enable for a peaceful transition. The only condition is that he must not take with him the fortune that he accumulated, because in that case he would continue to rule Montenegro from the shadow, from another country," said Medojevic. He added that the international community "must condition Djukanovic's withdrawal with his cooperation in shedding the light on privatizations and criminal affairs, that would include testimonies against some of his close associates". The leader of the opposition party told the newspaper that in his contacts with international officials, he suggested this was "the only solution". "Clearly, there are people who are advising him to stay until the end, in a place where he will fight against the people and the international community, and in the end be sacrificed, while they will take the money and run," concluded Medojevic.
