Jusuf Kalamperovic expects the visa regime to be scrapped for Montenego before any other country in the region.. “I don’t think anyone in the region will move on to the visa-free regime before us, as Montenegro has done everything that has been asked of it, is consistently applying the readmission agreement, and will have the very latest in personal identification,” the Montenegrin interior minister told Podgorica radio station, Antena M. Montenego expects EU visa regime to be scrapped He said that he was sure that visas would be completely scrapped for Montenegrin citizens, since, in terms of population size, the country presented no threat to the EU and that, as he put, Montengrins did not tend to gravitate towards the west. To recap, the European Commission announced that it would launch talks with the Belgrade authorities on January 30 on complete abolishment of the visa regime for Serbian citizens traveling to the EU.
