Republic of Srpska (RS) PM Milorad Dodik dismissed Monday claims that the crisis in Bosnia is artificial. He also denied that the current political turmoil had to do with Kosovo. Dodik strikes back on "artificial crisis" claims “If not for the measures of the High Representative issued on October 19, there would be no crisis. It is not an artificial, but rather a substantial crisis which has resulted from the fact that the decisions give way to outvoting." "Bosnia has too many unresolved issues to contemplate on the situation in Kosovo,” the RS prime minister said. In an interview for the Banja Luka daily Nezavisne Novine, he underscored that a decision on Kosovo would be reached some time or another, but that once it was reached, it will "become obvious that the problems in Bosnia would continue to exist regardless." “The only right path is that of agreement within Bosnia, and the politicians in Sarajevo cannot just sit and wait for the international community to settle things for them and meet all their demands,” Dodik specified. Speaking about constitutional changes, the RS prime minister said he backed the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) platform adopted in 1990 on modifications of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Constitution through the country's federalization, which he believes to be "the best possible option for the country." “The federalization concept will have the support from the RS provided that it does not cut into the very heart of what is called the Republic of Srpska. We are ready to be a federal unit within Bosnia with clear jurisdiction,” Dodik said. Milorad Dodik (Tanjug)
