President: Karadzic ruling must not affect fate of RS
The conviction of Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic must not affect the fate of the Serb Republic (RS), Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Thursday.

"Serbia will meet its obligations in full and use its rights under the Dayton Agreement, especially the right to support the RS and help it survive,” the president's press office quoted Nikolic as saying in relation to “Radovan Karadzic's verdict, especially his conviction of 'genocide' in Srebrenica”.The Serbian president also said “this judgment cannot and must not affect the fate of the RS."
Earlier on Thursday, the Hague Tribunal sentenced Radovan Karadzic to 40 years in prison, and found him guilty of genocide in Srebrenica.
Peter Robinson, a member of his's legal team, said he would appeal the judgment, foreign news agencies reported.
