Serbia does not interfere in internal affairs of other countries, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has told the Belgrade-based daily Danas.

Serbia "doesn't interfere in internal affairs of others"

The article then continues that "unlike the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which, beside expressing their concern over the armed incidents, also stressed their concern over anti-government protests in that country" - the Serbian government's position is not to interfere "in the political conflict in Macedonia."

Asked how the Serbian government viewed "the internal political conflict in Macedonia, that is, whether it, like Russia, supported the government there," Vucic was quoted as saying, "We do not interfere in internal affairs of other countries."

The daily also noted that Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov on Monday said that Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski "should resign for the sake of Macedonia's stabilization."

Beside the street protests that started on May 5, clashes broke out over the weekend between Macedonian police and terrorists in Kumanovo, following an attack on police officers carried out by Albanian terrorists.

In a two-day operation eight officers as well as 14 terrorists died, while more than 37 policemen were wounded. Macedonian officials stated on Sunday evening that "the most dangerous terrorist group in the region has been eliminated."

Diplomatic missions of the U.S., EU, OSCE, and NATO is Skopje expressed their regret over the incidents stressing that this is the time when Macedonian leaders should be together in dialogue on all issues faced by the country, including the political crisis and the necessary reforms.
