Assembly debates budget drafts for 16 hours
The Serbian assembly on Monday spent more than 16 hours in an at times heated debate on the revised 20014 budget, and the 2015 budget draft, and related laws.

"I expect that we will be even better in the implementation of this budget," he said.During the morning the proposed legal solutions were explained by ministers, and in the afternoon Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic came to the assembly as well. He also answered the questions brought up during the debate by opposition deputies.
Vucic said that the essence of the new budget and all the measures taken was to provide an opportunity for young people and provide jobs.
"Our choice was to enter into serious measures to enable young people to work," he said, adding that he was "not talking about securing jobs, but work."
Vucic said that cuts in salaries and pensions "will not necessarily last for three years," and that public sector employees and pensioners can expect an increase in income as soon as the share of their salaries in GDP falls to seven and 12 percent.
The debate on the budget was marked by a heated exchange between Vucic and assembly members from the opposition Democratic Party, which ended with the prime minister saying the Democrats were "nothing but cowards," who will "perhaps soon see his resignation."
Igor Becic, who chaired the session, issued three warnings to opposition NS party deputy Zoran Zivkovic because of his "street vocabulary" and ordered security to remove him from the hall. In reaction, Zivkovic called Becic "scum."
A new debate on more than 100 amendments will begin on Wednesday.
