“We are mutually connected and together we are much stronger than individually,” Dačić said.

The ministers pointed to the recent donors' conference for the flood-affected areas in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which had raised more money than any total sum the two countries could have collected individually, as a good example of such cooperation.

“The international community has welcomed our joint performance,” Dačić said.

Dačić said Serbia was interested in the stability of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the country's economic development, and stressed that teh two countries supported each other on the road to the European Union.

Dačić said he would meet with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on August 22, where they would discuss bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany, hold consultations on the Serbian chairmanship of the OSCE and also talk about the Conference of Western Balkan States that should be held in Berlin August 28 and attended by the prime ministers and foreign and economy ministers of the region.

Lagumžija said that Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina represented a role model for regional cooperation and that Wednesday’s meeting focused on improving relations between the two countries.

“United in the region, if we work together, we can do much more,” Lagumžija said.
