BELGRADE One of the SNS party vice presidents Nebojsa Stefanovic "will be the candidate for parliament's new speaker", said MP Zaharije Trnavcevic. Trnavcevic chaired parliament's constitutive session as the oldest MP, and will remain in this role until the election of a speaker. Trnavcevic said that it had been said at the parliament's session that the established majority was needed to elect the parliament speaker and deputy speakers on July 23, when the parliament's session was to resume. He added that the parliament would continue to work normally from then on, starting with setting up committees and parliamentary delegations and then going on to discuss bills on the government and ministries to be able to launch the government creation procedure. Trnavcevic said that Prime Minister-designate Ivica Dacic could turn up with a proposal for the program and composition of the government as early as Tuesday, after which MPs would vote.
