Serbian Agriculture Minister Dusan Petrovic expects the government to harmonize a document on the situation in Kosovo. He also believes that parliament session at which MPs will discuss the document will not be “dramatic”. Govt. to harmonize document on Kosovo, minister says Petrovic told B92 that the government was holding daily consultations and that he believed that positions would be “completely harmonized” before the Serbian parliament session. “In any case, I think that nothing dramatic will happen at the session,” the minister and Democratic Party (DS) deputy leader stressed. He added that DS’ policy toward Kosovo and the EU was “as clear as possible” and that goals of its policy were not changing, just like “goals of the government, in which the DS is a backbone of the coalition which has majority in parliament, are not changing”. Petrovic once again rejected a possibility of forming a coalition between the DS and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), stressing that he was convinced that no similar decision was in sight. “The SNS has done an exceptional thing by putting the EU high on the list of its priorities but the SNS does not have capacity to achieve the goal. Maybe in the next decade they will reach somewhat higher ability for all this,” the minister concluded. Dusan Petrovic (FoNet, file)
