Minister Without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin says that the respect of Bosniaks’ rights is “at a pretty low level” in Serbia. “Exercise of Bosniaks' rights in Serbia is still at a pretty low level,” the leader of the Sandzak Party of Democratic Action told daily Politika. Minister: Bosniak rights violated “Unfortunately in certain segments of our society, including some state bodies, there is not even a minimum of desire to change that,” he was quoted as saying. The minister without portfolio claims that “many cases of gross violation of fundamental human rights are known, including the most serious criminal acts committed against Bosniaks”. “Nothing was done to this day, despite my insisting on solving of the mentioned cases which causes Bosniaks to distrust the state authorities and creates conditions for appearance of so-called messiahs who would like to solve this quickly and outside institutions,” Ugljanin pointed out. He advised the Bosniak parties to take part in the elections together so Bosniaks’ interests would be better represented. The minister without portfolio pointed out that the problem was also existence of two Islamic Bosniak communities in Serbia, adding that the Islamic community should be united. He advised the Bosniak parties to take part in the elections together so Bosniaks’ interests would be better represented.

The minister without portfolio pointed out that the problem was also existence of two Islamic Bosniak communities in Serbia, adding that the Islamic community should be united.
