Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic expects that a declaration condemning crimes against Serbs in the former Yugoslavia will be passed during the summer. She, however, said that MPs could also be voting on the resolution in September. “It’s possible that we will vote then,” Djukic-Dejanovic was quoted as saying. MPs to adopt declaration on crimes “by October” “We will certainly finish this job before October and the start of the regular sitting,” she told Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti. The speaker confirmed that the parliament would work until August, when the summer break begins, and that the session which starts on Monday, June 7 will last two to two and a half weeks. The law condemning crimes committed against Serbs will come after parliament adopted a declaration earlier this year condemning the crime against Muslims in Srebrenica.
