Serbia must change the state policy, its content and manner of implementation and get rid of the remnants of policy of leaders of DSS and SNS. This is according to leader of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Cedomir Jovanovic. LDP leader: State must change policy He stated that requests of representatives of the U.S. and the EU that Belgrade and Pristina should start a direct dialogue were a result of “tragic irresponsibility” of the political elites to turn to the lives of the people they were responsible for. “Months are spent, even years now, in expectation of the opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). As if the opinion would, by itself, solve the problem of Serbs who don’t have power and water,” the LDP leader said. He also said that the ICJ’s opinion could not be, regardless of its content, a basis for a new political conflict between Serbia and its most important western allies and neighbors. The ICJ is due to rule on the legality under international law of the Kosovo Albanian unilateral independence declaration. Cedomir Jovanovic (Tanjug, file)
