The ruling Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) will vote for the resolution condemning the Srebrenica crimes, party leader Ivica Dacic said. He said that SPS will also support a resolution, "if there one", condemning all other crimes committed during the war. SPS to vote for Srebrenica resolution “Every nation should face the crimes it committed, but of course, this should not be an abolition of other countries, that have yet to do this. I would be very pleased when all the countries would have a balanced approach towards war crimes,” Dacic, who is first deputy PM and interior minister, said. He said that the weight of the crimes in Srebrenica cannot be lessened, but that no one has the right to understate the crimes committed against the Serb people either. Dacic said that it was important to reach a widespread majority consensus in parliament with the resolution, or resolutions. “I expect, depending on the proposal of one or two resolutions, that it will be adopted in the coming period,” Dacic said. Yesterday, his coalition partners, United Serbia (JS), announced they would not vote in favor of the resolution, if it qualified the Srebrenica massacre as genocide. Ivica Dacic (Tanjug)
