SRS Secretary-General Aleksandar Vucic is absolutely convinced the coalition agreement in Belgrade with the DSS and the SPS will survive. Vucic said that a “daily” meeting of representatives of parties that had signed the Belgrade coalition agreement had been held. SRS: Belgrade coalition will survive “We have absolute confidence in [Milislav] Petronijevic and [Aleksandar] Antic. [Socialist Party of Serbia leader] Ivica Dacic gave me his word, and we have a signed agreement,” Vucic told a press conference earlier today. He said that the topics of today’s meeting, held at DSS headquarters, had included the Belgrade assembly’s constitutive session and a detailed look into the functioning of the city. "Everybody should retain their dignity. There is nothing more important than that. It is more important than power,” the SRS secretary-general said. Meanwhile, Acting Mayor Zoran Alimpic (DS) said today that talks on forming a new republic government were intensifying, and that part of those negotiations were devoted to the constitution of a new Belgrade local authority. At a regular press conference, he said that the constitutive session would be held on July 14 and that the pressures for earlier sessions were subsiding. He added that he had not received a single citizen’s signature calling for an emergency constitutive session to be held.
