15 Serbian Army officers and the Ohio National Guard brigade team have begun joint training in Ohio Saturday.

The trainees will work on practicing the brigade team staff procedures, and following the initial preparation they will move on to mobilization practices, and rehearse troops protection in the operational zones.Ahead of the training set to last trough June 23, Serbian officers were welcomed by Ohio National Guard Deputy CoS Major General Gregory L. Wayt.
Serbian Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponoš announced last month that the Army planned to send its officers to Ohio for the purpose of receiving practical modes of training, describing it as the first concrete step in the military cooperation between Serbia and the U.S.
