Energoprojekt makes it to BSE A list

The price for the first sale of Energoprojekt shares on the market's A list was confirmed at the end of yesterday's trading.

Official trading of the company's stock will start today.

Energoprojekt Marketing Director Miodrag Zečević told Beta that the business dealings of the company, which are already transparent, will become even more accessible to the public and to those who hold more than 10,000 shares, after its stock market listing.

Energoprojekt, a company engaged in construction and project designs, has seen its shares so far become some of the BSE’s most liquid. The growth started in November 2006 and the value of shares doubled by April this year.

Old glory and the latest business refurbishing have made Energoprojekt ever more of an interesting and attractive player in the growing construction market in Serbia and the region.

This has recently been confirmed to the Ekonomist Magazine by Energoprojekt’s Chairman of the Managing board Ignjat Tucović. 

He told the magazine that German DEG Bank, U.S. Citibank and current shareholders, Sweden’s investment fund East Capital, Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank, ZB Invest and Privredna bank Zagreb have all shown interest in buying the state’s stake in the company, but have not yet made it clear whether they wished to take over the majority package of shares as well.

Energoprojekt has recently concluded two years of reforms and restructuring, ending a good deal of work to be done related to ownership and organizational transformation ahead of the announced privatization.

The company's consolidated income in 2006 stood at EUR 175mn, with net profit of EUR 8.1mn.
