Interior minister confirms Insajder’s information

Serbian IM Ivica Dacic has confirmed that police were pressured into leaving several names out of the criminal complaint in the in the swine flue vaccines case. The information was first revealed by B92 investigative program Insajder (Insider) several weeks ago. Interior minister confirms Insajder’s information Even though he said earlier that an official note about the issue probably did not exist, the interior minister told daily Press that the information was true. Dacic confirmed that there was the official police note which proves that Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic asked police to leave the names of several suspects out of the criminal complaint. “I claimed earlier that the official note did not exist because I only received the case files from the police several days ago. The police director has also submitted the files to other competent organs,” the minister explained. “It happens often that police and prosecution’s positions are different, whether it is about the number of suspects, qualification of the act, quality of the complaint and collected evidence, or person’s status, but that’s a part of the prosecution’s jurisdiction. I have not had any complaints by police officers regarding legality of actions so far,” Dacic pointed out.
