Court orders investigation in Kolubara case
The Belgrade Special Court placed former director of the Kolubara strip mining complex Dragan Tomić and 16 other corruption suspects in detention for a month.

The Belgrade Special Court placed former director of the Kolubara strip mining complex Dragan Tomic and 16 other corruption suspects in detention for a month. The court also launched an investigation against the suspects on suspicion that they incurred financial damages to the company in the amount of over EUR 10mn, Special Court spokesperson Maja Kovacevic Tomic stated for Tanjug on Thursday in Belgrade. Court orders investigation in Kolubara case The value of the illegally acquired assets is between RSD 20mn and RSD 290mn, while the total amount of the illegally gained assets and the financial damage inflicted to the Kolubara complex totals RSD 920mn, which at the time of the perpetration of the crime amounted over EUR 10mn. Besides Tomic, who was the director of the Kolubara Mining Complex from 2004-2008, the arrested include Dragan Jovicic, who held the same position from 2008-2009, as well as assistant director for commercial affairs Radisa Vrankovic.
