Serbian police (MUP) have arrested five persons in Belgrade in connection to a robbery and illegal sale of guns. The MUP said in a statement today that its officers raided a café in the capital Tuesday night, after a several-month long investigation conducted by the Belgrade Police Directorate. Police arrest five over robbery, arms smuggling The five persons detained, identified as Branko C. from Kosovska Mitrovica, Marko M. from Vucitrn, Goran M. from Smederevo, Milos J. from Otocac and Milan M. from Belgrade, are suspected of trying to sell 93 pistols that they smuggled from Kosovo. They will also face charges of robbery, and illegal possession of firearms and explosives. The weapons confiscated are CZ 6.35 mm pistols, along with some 300 rounds of bullets of the same caliber. The robbery that they are suspected of took place on November 1, when they stole RSD 5.5mn from a Kosovo Power Stations office in the Serbian capital.

The five persons detained, identified as Branko Ć. from Kosovska Mitrovica, Marko M. from Vučitrn, Goran M. from Smederevo, Miloš J. from Otočac and Milan M. from Belgrade, are suspected of trying to sell 93 pistols that they smuggled from Kosovo.

They will also face charges of robbery, and illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
