Value of domestic currency continues to rise

The Serbian dinar (RSD) will strengthen against the euro (EUR) by 40 paras on Wednesday, said the central bank (NBS). The official middle exchange rate today is RSD 102.0894 for one euro. Value of domestic currency continues to rise The figure marks the highest value of the Serbian currency this year. The dinar is rising for the fourth consecutive day against the euro, the total increase amounting to RSD 1.5. Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank has intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once when it purchased EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate. The dinar hit its lowest level against the euro this year on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947.

The figure marks the highest value of the Serbian currency this year.

The dinar is rising for the fourth consecutive day against the euro, the total increase amounting to RSD 1.5.

Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank has intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once when it purchased EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

The dinar hit its lowest level against the euro this year on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947.
