The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has been asked to make and publish a detailed analysis of those "economic subjects" whose bank accounts have been blocked. The request came from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), whose Vice-President Vidosava Dzagic explained that according to available data from the central bank, the number of companies that find themselves in this predicament is increasing. Liquidity comes under microscope According to her, this is a serious problem. Dzagic noted that it is important to know how many workers are employed by these companies, and said that the liquidity problem, present before the onset of the economic crisis, has now worsened. For this reason she urged the making of a detailed analysis of the companies' structures. The NBS data shows that 58,069 firms in Serbia have their accounts blocked, with the total amount of the debt reaching EUR 2bn.
