The value of the Serbian dinar, RSD, against the euro has slumped 2.4 percent in the space of a day. According to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) exchange rate, the euro is worth 83.07 dinars today. Home currency slips against euro This represents the biggest drop in the dinar’s value this year, which comes after a period of relative stability over the last two months. A week ago the euro was worth less than 80 dinars. Over the last three working days, since April 29, the dinar has lost 4.22 percent of its value. Economists ascribe the fall to the looming elections and the uncertainty as to which political option will win, as well as to the different expectations of banks concerning the dinar’s value after May 11.
