This has been reported by the Turkish agency Anatolia.

According to Izetbegovic, it is more than appropriate for the council to pay respects to the victims of Srebrenica by adopting the resolution. He also added that "truth and justice are not enemies of peace and stability."

On the other hand, the chairman of the Bosnian Presidency and the Serb representative in this collective head of state, Mladen Ivanic, recently sent a letter to UNSC ambassadors asking them not to vote in favor of the resolution.

Ivanic said his move came because there was no consensus in the presidency about the draft.
