This comes on the heels of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's invitation, which he on Wednesday said Trump accepted.

Speaking for the Pristina-based RTV21 broadcaster, Thaci said that Trump "supported the state of Kosovo," the website koha.net reported on Thursday.

According to him, the brief encounter with Trump was "exceptionally friendly, warm."

"President Trump, like all other US presidents, has a clear vision for Kosovo. It is unique support to our country. He said that Kosovo is a wonderful country and that we are a wonderful people," said Thaci.
