President of the Serb Republic (RS) Milorad Dodik on Thursday laid a wreath for Bosniak (Muslim) victims at the Potocari Memorial Center near Srebrenica.

RS leader Dodik honors Srebrenica victims

"The truth is that a crime took place here and I am sorry for all the victims, but it is a fact that those events are very much politicized," said Dodik.

Bosnian Serb forces killed more than 8,000 Bosniaks in Srebrenica in July 1995, during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The International Criminal Court in the Hague ruled this mass war crime as an act of genocide, Beta said.
