FM: Pakistan supports Serbia on Kosovo

Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic on Tuesday in Islamabad met with his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar. Jeremic said after the meeting that he had received support for Serbia's positions on Kosovo, which was extremely important as Pakistan would be a member of the UN Security Council as of January 1, 2012. Jeremic also stressed that Pakistan was a huge market. "There is considerable potential for the Serbian companies here, above all in the domain of agriculture and military industry," he said. According to Jeremic, an agreement was reached to restore the work of the mixed Serbian-Pakistani economic cooperation committee. The first committee session may, as he said, be held in 2012, when the Pakistani foreign minister is expected to pay a return visit to Serbia.
