Kosovo Albanian PM Hashim Thaci said, after an extended visit to the U.S., that he wants the "supervised independence of Kosovo" to end. “I am happy that out American and European partners said that the supervised independence of Kosovo is being successfully concluded,” Thaci said, adding to local Albanian language media in Pristina. The ICJ last week gave its advisory opinion on the UDI, saying that since international law had no provisions preventing such declarations, it did not breach international law. However, the top UN court would not state its position on the right to self-determination or secession.
