Kragujevac police (MUP) say they have two men in custody suspected of attempting to murder a local dentist. Two more have also been arrested, on suspicion that they contracted the perpetrators to commit the crime. Police say the suspects, identified as Risto V., 23, and Sasa Dj., 29, were hired for EUR 200 each. The men who contracted them have been identified only as Stefan D. i Dusan M. The motive for the attack remains unknown. The victim was assaulted in a parking lot. The pair of assailants struck him repeatedly on the head with metal bars. Officers who arrested Risto V. recovered "some of the reward money and the weapon used in the attack", a statement from the MUP said today. The raid and detention of suspects took place on Monday. The temporary 48 hour detention expired today, and the four were officially placed under arrest.
