Citing witnesses, HRW said 70 protesters were injured during Thursday's assaults on protests in two Libyan cities, the AFP reported. HRW: Libyan security forces kill at least 24 "The authorities should cease the use of lethal force unless absolutely necessary to protect lives and open an independent investigation into the lethal shootings," HRW said in a statement. According to the earlier data published by Libyan officials, seven people were killed in clashes between protesters and security forces in the coastal city of Benghazi.
