Hackers who said they were part of Anonymous on Monday defaced a website of the Democratic Party dedicated to its activities in a Belgrade municipality. The reason for their action was "to express dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in Serbia". Hackers deface local DS branch website The Democrats (DS) are currently the ruling party, while the website that was targeted belongs to their Vracar Municipality branch. The website's front page was replaced by the hacker's message which read in Serbian: "We prepare food. We take away garbage. We work in the factory. We safeguard peace of mind. We are legion! We do not forget!! We do not frogive!!! We are Anonymous." The message on the defaced page also said that the group behind the attack "did not wish to act against the system or harm anyone", but express their dissatisfaction, and added: "In this way we are drawing the attention to every conscientious citizen that there still those of us who fight for justice - in any way." "The political 'elite' are baiting us with the 1990s like it was the plague. We are not getting any concrete plans for the FUTURE, just stale old phrases. It's as if their statements were written by the authors of mobile phone templates," said the hackers, adding that their exploit was "for all the actors in this lost political establishment". The website of the Novi Sad branch of the League of Social-Democrats of Vojvodina was also attacked this morning, but that website is now back online. B92

The Democrats (DS) are currently the ruling party, while the website that was targeted belongs to their Vračar Municipality branch.

The website's front page was replaced by the hacker's message which read in Serbian: "We prepare food. We take away garbage. We work in the factory. We safeguard peace of mind. We are legion! We do not forget!! We do not frogive!!! We are Anonymous."

The message on the defaced page also said that the group behind the attack "did not wish to act against the system or harm anyone", but express their dissatisfaction, and added:

"In this way we are drawing the attention to every conscientious citizen that there still those of us who fight for justice - in any way."
