PODGORICA Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic says the future of relations between Montenegro and Serbia is "respect and partnership" in all areas of common interest. "We have a good contractual base, clear commitment of cooperation and now it is necessary to realize the effects of mutual respect and partnership between the two countries," he was quoted as telling the Pogorica daily Pobjeda. Montenegrin president on future of relations with Serbia Vujanovic added that Montenegro and Serbia are "very close countries, both historically, and currently through common goals for the future." He mentioned joint projects in transport infrastructure, reconstruction of railway lines and construction of a highway. Vujanovic also noted that Serbia and Montenegro have significant trade, which, he believes, "should be facilitated." Serbia is Montenegro's most important trade partner. In the first 11 months of the year Montenegro imported goods worth EUR 464 million from Serbia - more than a third of its overall imports. At the same time Montenegro exported goods worth EUR 121 million to Serbia - almost a third of the country's total exports. (Beta, file) Beta
