A Macedonian news agency says that oil reserves of over three billion barrels were found in Albania. Makfax quotes Gustafson Associates, a firm that says the reserves in the north of this country are at "two billion 987 million barrels of oil and 3,014 trillion cubic meters of natural gas." Report: Large oil deposits discovered in Albania Swiss-based Manas Petroleum, an international company, hired Gustafson to make the evaluation. Manas has an arrangement with the Albanian government to explore oil and gas in northern Albania. The company also operates in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
