Ten persons have been arrested on suspicion that they incurred more than CHF 15mn worth of damages to Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, Serbian police (MUP) has stated.

Ten persons have been arrested on suspicion that they incurred more than CHF 15mn worth of damages to Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, Serbian police (MUP) has stated. The police arrested Milos Lj., Snezana M, Ferenc B, Robert K, Sasa J, Milos D, Milan K, Nikica K, Aleksandar V. and Bozidar K. Ten persons arrested for incurring damages to bank They are suspected of using documentation of companies and off-shore firms they owned to file for long-term loans at the Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, claiming the funds were intended for the purchase of shares in privatized companies. According to the police, they submitted false reports on the value of the companies to the bank. After they received loans and bought the shares, they transferred the shares to other companies they owned without the bank’s knowledge.
