Two Serbs arrested in Kosovo

Kosovo police (KPS) have arrested M.A. (23) and M.J. (24) in Gracanica for endangering public safety. Deputy Head of Gracanica police station Rama Krueziu told Gracanica Radio that the suspects had attempted to throw a hand grenade in a local disco club around 4:00 CET. Two Serbs arrested in Kosovo The grenade, however, did not go off. Krueziu said that another hand grenade had been discovered in the suspects’ car. Police are currently investigating the motives that led to the incident. “We are working on the case, the investigation will determine the motives. At the moment we have information that this was about unsettled debts and that it was revenge, an argument from a few days ago,” Krueziu explained. EULEX and Kosovo police have defused the grenades. The suspects were remanded in custody for 48 hours. There were about 20, mostly young people inside the club when they attempted to activate the grenade. “KPS is sweeping the area and searching for persons who are suspected of being involved in the case. We are doing everything to protect the population,” Krueziu pointed out. He also said that police would have more information about the case tomorrow.
