BELGRADE The International Monetary Fund (IMF) should make it public whether it would renew the arrangement with Serbia by the end of October. This was reported by Tanjug, which quoted sources at the IMF seat in Washington. "IMF to decide on arrangement by end of month" The IMF official who wished to remain anonymous said that the international financial organization was "preparing its strategy on Serbia having in mind the fact that the previous arrangement was not carried out successfully". Preparations and coordination in the talks with Serbia are underway since the country wishes to see the agreement renewed, and by the end of the month, it should be known whether the agreement would be renewed, the IMF official noted. The official said that IMF representatives are in close contact with the associates of Serbian Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic as regards the draft budget 2013 and the strategy for short-term fiscal consolidation.
