CHARLEROI Serbia's Davis Cup team defeated Belgium in the first round of the World Group, after the doubles victory on Saturday. Serbia’s Viktor Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic defeated Belgium’s Steve Darcis and Ruben Bemelmans 3:1 (6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4). The Serbian team is through to the Davis Cup quarterfinals.

The first win for Serbia came on Friday thanks to Troicki who beat David Goffin, 1-6, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, 6-4. Novak Đoković then won the second singles match, defeating Belgium's Olivier Rochus, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
