Situation is much better but around 3,700 people are still cut off from the outside world, says Emergency Situations Sector Head Predrag Maric. Commenting on the cold snap death toll, Maric said that 21 persons were found dead and that rescue teams were still searching for two missing persons. He added that numerous evacuations had been performed and that 283 people had been rescued. “The Serbian government’s measures have given results and there are already indications that the situation will be better in the next period,” Maric noted. Education Minister Zarko Obradovic has said that most elementary, high schools and faculties will hold classes on Monday.
