The population and housing census was officially postponed Thursday for October 1 to 15 this year, it has been announced. The agricultural census will take place from October 1 to December 15, 2012. Population census delayed until October 1 The Serbian parliament passed amendments to the 2011 population and housing census law, delaying it by six months due to a lack of funding, as well as amendments to the 2011 agricultural census law delaying it until next year. The original plan was to conduct the census from April 1 to 15, but due to a lack of funds in the budget the government proposed that it be pushed back. The last population census was done in 2002, while Serbia has not had an agricultural census since 1960.
