Serbian Army Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic on Sunday placed a wreath at the Battle of Cer memorial in western Serbia. Today marks the 96th anniversary of this Serbian First World War victory over the Austria-Hungary army. Anniversary of Serbian WW1 victory State and military officials also attended the ceremony as well as members of the diplomatic corps, the Defense Ministry previously announced in a statement. The Battle of Cer, which was fought on Aug 16-20 1914, was one of the first battles which the Serbian Kingdom forces, under the command of Gen.
